How we are helping to cut A&E visits during the pandemic

With Salisbury A&E being under great pressure due to covid, we were only too happy to help our acute colleagues when they asked us to take part in a video to reduce the numbers turning up at the hospital.

Our Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, Amy Clarke and our Specialist Health Visitor, Marian Judd took part in the video produced by Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, to reduce the number of parents taking babies into A&E. The video highlighted various community services which could provide advice and guidance to families concerned about their babies which could prevent an unnecessary trip to hospital.
