Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Specialist Nurses
The MS Nurses run outpatient clinics as well as offering home visits. This service offers regular reviews of your condition, including advice and support to enable you to influence and participate in decisions concerning your care.

Any adult over 18 years of age who has a confirmed diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and who is registered with a Bath & North East Somerset GP is eligible for the service.
The service provides on-going emotional and psychological support to help you and your carers manage your condition in a practical way and maintain your lifestyle where possible.
- Providing information, advice and support to you, your carers and your family, either in person or over the telephone
- To empower you to influence and participate in decisions concerning your care
- The MS nurse will liaise with other people at home or in hospital who may be helpful to you, offering you the opportunity to meet other people recently diagnosed with MS
- They will also be referring you to other services and local MS support groups where appropriate, as well as working closely with your GP and hospital consultant
