Due to the ongoing pandemic, and to help keep you and our colleagues safe we’re following national guidance and minimising face to face contacts. We will continue to support you through video consultation, telephone consultations and virtual clinics and we’ll see you face to face where this is safe, and the most appropriate way to support you in line with the national guidance.

Virgin Care Services Limited has been commissioned by both Bath and North East Somerset Council and NHS Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group to deliver the Bath and North East Somerset Community Health and Care Services.

As well as providing services locally, we also oversee other services provided by the NHS and voluntary organisations with the aim of improving physical and mental health and wellbeing of everyone in the area.

Our mission

We aim to provide a joined-up service so you only need to tell your story once and have a single plan for achieving your health and wellbeing goals.

We will provide the right care at the right time so you feel supported and empowered to make informed choices and take control of managing your health.

We will use new technology to join up your health records and allow you to share it securely with family, friends and professionals of your choice so you can be treated as a person, not a condition.

Our history

Virgin Care has been delivering health and social care services since 2006, and in that time we’ve seen and treated more than 5 million people across England on behalf of the NHS and local authorities. You can find out more about our approach at (external website)

Our services in Bath and North East Somerset have been designed to reflect the priorities of local people and professionals which are:

  • A person, not a condition
  • A single plan
  • Invest in the workforce
  • Focus on prevention
  • Joining up IT system

These priorities were identified by the Council and the NHS following extensive engagement and consultation with the local community.
